Description of Job
We are looking for an inspiring, enabling leader to head up, support and grow our large and thriving community of 11s-18s who are predominantly of a BAME demographic. We have a vision for all of the young people within our church and surrounding community to encounter God, be transformed by his spirit and to influence their generation and beyond as Christ's ambassadors. We need someone who will help mobilise us to reach, disciple, pastorally support and release our young people as passionate Christ-followers.
St Barnabas is a vibrant charismatic evangelical church with a dynamic missional outlook. In September 2018 we moved from a traditional church building to a prominent location in a converted office block on North Finchley High Road. Having recently been designated a Resource Church by the Bishop of London, the church is entering an exciting new chapter. We are positioning ourselves to become a major church-planting and mission centre to reach North London and beyond.
Interviews: 22 October
We are aware that those from ethnic minority groups (BAME) are currently under-represented on our staff team so we particularly encourage applications from these groups. Appointment will of course be based on merit alone.
There is an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 for an applicant to be a committed Christian.
