Role description:

We are looking for a special someone who has a real passion and vision for young people. A person who will go above and beyond to inspire and disciple all our young people to grow and thrive in their faith. A person who will aspire to disciple and empower a generation to be confident participants of a lively fast-growingchurch and actively involved in their community. 

The Youth Pastor will be responsible for leading and developing all aspects of an exciting and innovative Youth Ministry for Rock Church. They will initiate and lead a relevant and supportive youth programme on a Friday evening and Sunday morning. This will be in line with the vision and direction of Rock Church. They will also provide supportive mentorship and encourage connection and participation for all young people aged 11-18 years. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop and lead a relevant and exciting Friday night youth programme

• Build and lead a committed, passionate youth team to support the Friday night youth programme and any other youth initiatives.

• Plan, develop and lead occasional Youth Services as required by Lead Pastors

• Create and build an encouraging youth presence on a Sunday morning welcoming all youth to Rock Church Sunday services.

• Provide discipleship, mentorship and support to all young people and build a pastoral team to support this.

• Be responsible for providing up to date Youth Safeguarding Policies for all aspects of youth programmes and events. This will also include Safeguarding around all social media platforms and WhatsApp groups and be in line with government safeguarding guidelines.

• Any other requirements requested by the Lead pastors to support the ongoing provision of youth programmes.

• Listening skills

• Appropriate and high level of knowledge around all aspects of safeguarding

* Please note you have to be eligible to work & live in the UK. 

Hours: negotiable (minimum 12 hours per week) including Sundays.
