Associate Vicar, St Mary of Bethany Woking

St Mary of Bethany Woking seeks an Associate Vicar to lead our discipleship, youth, children's and families work.

This is an exciting new season at St Mary of Bethany, and this role will help shape these key areas of our ministry. Our vision is to be 'God's transforming people in our parish: To love Jesus, to serve and tell others, to be community'. St Mary's has a capable and motivated team of volunteers, a kind congregation and a staff team of 4, which we are looking to build.

• Equip a whole church to be confident disciples?
• Oversee our work with children, young people and families, with a fantastic, motivated team of leaders?
• Contribute to the life of a thriving church across our worship and mission as a confident second chair?
• ... in a busy commuter belt town just 25 minutes from London by train, but surrounded by beautiful countryside?

Then we'd love to hear from you! This is a great opportunity to help lead a thriving church at an exciting moment in its development. You'll need to be ordained in the Church of England. Guildford Diocese clergy package including stipend and accommodation.

We are looking for:

• A confident leader who is passionate about God, a mature, contagious Christian with a story to tell about your life and walk with Jesus.
• A heart for equipping a church and developing your own gifting.
• A confident communicator who can connect with a wide range of people at different stages of their discipleship journeys.
• A self-starter who will work well within a team and will be happy in the second chair, but will take on significant leadership responsibility.
