Description of Job
The Bishop of Chichester seeks to appoint a full-time stipendiary priest to Immanuel Church, Chichester. This is a charismatic, evangelical congregation, established as a Bishop's Mission Order and meeting in Bishop Luffa Church of England Secondary School.
We seek to appoint a passionate and prayerful female or male priest, who has gifts of strategic and collaborative leadership, inspiring preaching, and empowering every-member ministry. Please see the Parish Profile for full details. This appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of an Enhanced DBS screening.
We are therefore praying for a minister who:
- is an apostolic leader and inspiring communicator who can help the church to discern God’s call, set the direction of travel, take others with them on the journey and empower everyone to use their gifts,
- relates well to different age groups and people from all backgrounds,
- is able to develop missional opportunities through our networks across the city.
We can offer you:
- a fully supportive and committed trustee board and leadership team
- a supportive and committed church family (100+ adult members), a staff team and willing volunteers, all with a heart for growth,
- an opportunity to shape the next stage of our church journey and to unlock its potential,
- a ministry based on our heart to make Jesus known.
