Description of Job

The role of the Network Administrator is to provide administrative, organisational and logistical support to the Accessible Network. The aim of the accessible church ministry at New Wine is to enable those with additional needs to be able to participate as much as possible within each event and their local church, to enable individuals and families to feel welcome and have the opportunity to grow in the gifts that God has given them. Your role is pivotal in fostering an inclusive and accessible church environment within the New Wine network. By supporting the Accessible Ministry Lead, working with partner organisations and facilitating key initiatives, you will help shape a community where everyone feels welcomed and empowered to participate fully. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

Support the Accessible Church Ministry Lead 

  • Collaborate closely with the Accessible Church Ministry Lead to aid the development and expansion of the ministry across the Network. 
  • Work alongside the other Network Administrators to ensure smooth, collaborative, and cohesive operations. 

Network Administration 

  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures, providing support for any related queries or concerns. 
  • Facilitate the Accessible Church presence at key events, including the New Wine Festival, New Wine Leadership Conference and other smaller gatherings. 
  • Organise and coordinate training sessions with organisations and experts, throughout the year to equip members of the New Wine Network with skills and knowledge to implement accessible practices in their local contexts.  
  • Contribute to building and maintaining the Accessible Church database, aligning with the vision set by the Accessible Church Ministry Lead. 
  • Support the safe recruitment of Accessible Church Area Gathering Leads across the country. 
  • Maintain an up-to-date events calendar and ensure events are uploaded to Churchsuite. 
  • Empower individuals to lead Accessible Church initiatives within the New Wine network. 
  • Collaborate with the Communications Lead and Accessible Church Ministry Lead to innovate, draft, and distribute an Accessible Church newsletter. 

New Wine Festival Responsibilities 

  • Support the coordination, recruitment, and management of volunteer teams for the New Wine Festival. 
  • Assist in the planning and facilitation of Accessible Church breakout sessions during the festival.  
  • Help recruit and communicate with the BSL team to ensure seamless interpretation services. 
  • Work with the Delegate Experience Lead to oversee the Village Allocation Process for attendees with access needs staying onsite. 
  • Work with the Delegate Experience Lead to provide pre-arrival information tailored to attendees with additional needs or those in caregiving roles. 
  • Co-ordinate and organise relevant pre-site training for team 
  • Provide on-site assistance to the Accessible Ministry Lead, ensuring responsibilities are met effectively.

  • Understanding of additional needs, including related laws and regulations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • High level of discretion and wisdom.

  • Previous experience within the New Wine Network and events industry. 

Please note the salary is £27 - 30k FTE, depending on experience.
