Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 Pro Rata

Position: Minimum 3 days a week

Reports To: Head of Operations

Location: Loughborough (we are open to conversations on location for the right candidate, but regular attendance in our Loughborough office will be required)

 Fusion exists so that every student has the opportunity to find hope in Jesus and home in the local church during their time at university. This role sits within the Operations and Communications Team, at the heart of the Fusion movement in equipping the church for student mission. We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to lead and develop our digital content and communications strategy. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role will take strategic leadership over partner and stakeholder communications, build our digital ministry presence, develop cross-cutting campaigns and manage web and social content, and marketing strategies. The role includes line management of one Social Media Content Creator.

Fusion is a student mission movement. Fusion's growth is fuelled by many kingdom-minded individuals being invited to partner and participate in this vision. Ministry Partnership Development is a key part of this role, the successful candidate will, therefore, cover 50% of their salary through a team of partners who give financially to Fusion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Strategic leadership

●     Lead partner and stakeholder communications, ensuring consistency and alignment with Fusion’s vision across channels and content, including delivery of Storybrand messaging.

●     Develop and implement a comprehensive digital content strategy across web and social media to support Fusion’s mission.

●     Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team on key marketing strategies and campaigns.

●     Act as relationship lead to work with external agencies and contractors, and develop further relationships where appropriate for delivering the highest quality communications possible for Fusion.

●     Sharpen messaging and communications strategies for Fusion in engaging with different audience segments e.g. students, student workers and church leaders.

●     Line management responsibility for the Social Media Content Creator.

 Campaigns delivery

 ●     Develop and deliver messaging for key campaigns throughout the year, including fundraising.

●     Coach, train and support other team members in campaigns they are leading or seeking to develop.

●     Initiate and lead new campaigns to help grow the audience and reach of Fusion.

●     Generate creative content targeted for specific audiences, campaigns and platforms.

 Grow participation

 ●     Collect and share student mission stories that demonstrate the impact of Fusion’s mission.

●     Grow the number of mailing list subscribers for Fusion and employ creative techniques to maximise reach and engagement on social media.

●     Lead on bespoke and seasonal campaigns for fundraising and partner raising.

 Resource development

 ●     Collaborate with other Fusion team members and external partners to develop and curate resources, including training manuals, guides, videos, and online content, to support ongoing learning and development in student mission.

●     Effectively communicate the benefits and value of our products or services to churches and key stakeholders (Church Leaders, Student Workers, and Youth Workers).

●     Contribute to the increased publicity and sales of Fusion resources.

 General

 ●     Participate in our prayer meetings and any special prayer meetings held from time to time

●     Lead team prayers and devotionals

●     Contribute to our collective promotion of Christian standards in our work and working relationships and contribute to a working environment of mutual Christian encouragement

Support Raising (MPD):

 ●     Raise 50% of salary through MPD (Ministry Partnership Development)

●     Communicate regularly with ministry partners including prayer points

●     Equip your ministry partners to pray, advocate and champion student mission through your partnership with them

●     Extend ongoing invitations to new people to join your MPD team

●     Allocate 10% of your time to maintaining partner support

It is an occupational requirement of this post to have a personal faith in Jesus to effectively support churches and students in their mission to students and to help make Fusion events a place where people can encounter God & find hope in Jesus.

Desirable

●     Experience in an administrative role reporting directly to upper management

●     Experience leading in student ministry and mission

●     A good knowledge of UK church culture and diversity
