Portsmouth is an amazing and beautiful place to live and serve, and God is doing some amazing things in our city at the moment, and we’d love for you to be involved. We believe the DY year is the best place, learn about where He is calling you for the future, serve your local church and have lots of fun in the process. We’ll support you through time in the hub, mentoring and studying as you explore some of life’s big questions in greater detail. Teaching (8hrs/wk)

All teaching is done on a Wednesday at St Jude’s – with a range of teachers from across the scheme.

Ministry Opportunities

We have a range of churches involved in the scheme, including non-Anglican, and their different backgrounds give a vast range of opportunities. We have churches with large kids and families’ ministries, churches with a genuine heart for developing freedom in worship, churches involved in the community, running food banks and community cafes and a whole load of other things. We are flexible around where you feel called to serve.

Cost

The course fees in Portsmouth are covered by the placement churches.

Accommodation

We ask the churches to assist those who need help with accommodation, usually with a church family member. Some of the scheme students live together in a shared house.
