Overview

St Patrick’s Ballymacarrett is entering an exciting new season. In 2026 we will launch a

new worshipping community as part of a Resource Church Plant in partnership with Gas

Street Church (Birmingham), HTB through the Revitalise Trust, and the Diocese of Down

& Dromore (Church of Ireland). Together, these partners are committed to seeing

renewal, discipleship, creativity, and mission established across Belfast.

This new Resource Church will be rooted in the story and heritage of St Patrick’s — a

community long associated with sending, service, and the shaping of East Belfast. Our

vision is to see people encounter God, be transformed by His presence, and be sent into

the world for His purposes. We long to build a church marked by authenticity,

vulnerability, spiritual hunger, hospitality, and a genuine openness to the Holy Spirit.

Alongside worship and discipleship, this church will be intentionally outward-facing:

seeking the transformation of Belfast through Spirit-filled believers living out their faith

in daily life, as well as through launching new worshipping communities and church

planting. Inspired by Isaiah 6:8 (“Here am I, send me”), we want to create a community

where encounter leads to transformation, and transformation leads to mission.

To help make this vision a reality, we are appointing an Operations Manager. This is a

foundational and influential role within a pioneering church plant. In the early days it will

involve hands-on leadership across a wide range of operational responsibilities; as the

church grows, the Operations Manager will play a key role in developing the wider

Operations Department, including future operations staff and volunteer teams.

We are looking for someone who loves building from the ground up, thrives in dynamic

environments, and wants to help establish a vibrant, sustainable, and transformative

church community for years to come.

Because this role actively shapes the culture, ministry environments, and spiritual life of

the church, the post holder must be a committed Christian who can model and promote

St Patrick’s vision, values, and theological ethos in all aspects of operations and

leadership.
