The church with a bowling alley...
About Xcel
Xcel Bowl operates as part of the wider Xcel Project, a Christian social enterprise initiative connected to Towy Church in Carmarthen.
We are currently in a significant season of recovery and renewal. Through Xcel 2030, we are reshaping the project so that it becomes a sustainable Centre for Mission and Restoration — strengthening preventative community pathways in areas such as training, mentoring, employment and restoration.
As part of this journey, Foodbank and Community Money Advice services are transitioning into a separate governance model, enabling Xcel to be intentionally repurposed upstream. Xcel Bowl plays a vital role in this renewal — providing both financial sustainability and a visible community presence.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Bowling Alley General Manager to lead Xcel Bowl through our initial period of recovery and reorganisation, through to helping position the venue for long-term missional impact.
This is first and foremost a serious operational leadership role. We need someone who can run an excellent bowling alley — commercially disciplined, professionally managed and high in standards.
Alongside this, the role carries real Kingdom significance. Xcel Bowl underpins the wider renewal of the project and contributes to the formation of a missional hub in the heart of Carmarthen.
