After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. Acts 4:31
Our Heavenly Father, we bring before you in prayer our shaken world:
For Turkey and Syria
Lord, please bring comfort to those who mourn the losses they are facing after the devastating earthquakes in this region. Give wisdom and clear direction to those who are working so hard to recover what can be recovered, and restore what must be restored. Make a way, amidst it all, for your Gospel to reach the people whose hearts you so long to hold and heal.
For Ukraine
Lord Jesus, the conflict in Ukraine has reached the one year mark and hopelessness is surely crouching at the door of many hearts. In place of a spirit of fear, would you extend to them the spirit of power and love and a sound mind. Restore hope; be near to the just; give strength to endure; guide them to peace.
For Our Culture
Where so much of your Kingdom Truth is being challenged, we turn to you, our unshakable King, our only wise God. We cling to you in the midst of spiritual conflict. We look to your meekness, Jesus, as an example for us as we defend what is right. And we prepare our feet with the Gospel of Peace as we go out into a world that needs your salvation.
For In-Filling
Holy Spirit, you are shaking things up in Asbury, Kentucky. We welcome your presence and your pre-eminence. We surrender to your purpose and your will. We ask for an outpouring of your very being, that we too would be filled afresh and fit for your Kingdom work.
Merciful Father, grant that we, your beloved children, would receive all we need from your hands and in turn freely give all for the sake of your Gospel.
Amen.
Thank you for joining us in prayer.
