New Wine Festival 2026 – Advance Information

Travel & Transport

The showground is easily accessible from the M5 and is situated along the A371 Castle Cary – Shepton Mallet Road. It is approximately 25 miles from Bristol and 20 miles from Bath. The nearest train stations are Frome, Castle Cary, or Templecombe. 

We’ll be using the Blue Gate for arrivals each day, not the main showground entrance. It is located on the A371, opposite the Lakeside Pool. The Blue Gate can also be found using the postcode BA4 6QW or What3Words location ///arriving.roofer.guests. 

For campers at the festival, cars/vehicles can be driven through Blue Gate to your allocated camping village for you to unload equipment and setup using the sign-posted routes. After unloading, please move your car/vehicle to one of the car parks before attending sessions.

Car Parks

There is plenty of free on-site parking. For those camping, there are 2 long-stay car parks (marked as Car Park 1 & 2 on the map). For those staying off-site, please use the Day Car Park, which is located next to the Blue Gate. Please follow the stewards’ instructions to park. 

For motorbike parking, please use the Yellow 8 Accessible Car Park. (This is to avoid the risk of bikes sinking into soft or wet ground grass parking areas.)

Driving

A Car Free Site: Our site is car-free from 21:00 on 28 July (Delegate Arrival Day), and all cars need to be moved to the car parks once unloaded by 18:00 or between 19:30 – 21:00. Delegates aren’t permitted to drive around site at any other time for any reason.

Cars will only be permitted back onsite during Early Departure slots or after the event on 3 August. If you plan to leave the site on Sunday 2 August, you will need to book an Early Departure (please see Arrivals & Departures below).

If, for any reason, you need to bring a car on site or need vehicle recovery during the week, please visit Control first before driving or contacting your recovery service.

All vehicles must obey the site speed limit of 10mph.

Taxis

If you’re arriving by Taxi, they must drop off at the Taxi Drop-Off by Blue Gate (marked on the map).

Access

• Onsite Delegates (onsite ticket holders) may arrive from 09:00 until 21:00 on Tuesday 28 July. The gates will close at 23:30, but we ask that campers arrive and set up before 21:00 and move their vehicles to the car park before attending any evening events. 
• Offsite Delegates (offsite ticket holders) may arrive from 09:00 on Tuesday 28 July and 07:00 on all other days. Please see ‘Life on Site’ for details for the Day 1 venue start times. The gates will close each day at 23:30.
• Day Ticket holders can arrive from 07:00 on the day of the purchased ticket and will need to leave the site by 23:30.
• Evening Ticket holders can arrive from 17:00 on the day of the purchased ticket and will need to leave the site by 23:30.
• Teams may arrive from 12:00 until 18:00 on Monday, 27 July. The gates will close at 23:30, but we ask that teams arrive and set up before 18:00 so all teams can attend the team commissioning service. 

Please do not arrive before these times; we cannot allow early access for any reason. No one is permitted to access the showground without presenting a valid ticket. 

Wristbands

Wristbands are required to gain access to the site and venues; these must be worn at all times. Replacements will cost £5.  

Please go to Info if you’ve lost or found a wristband/name badge. 

• Adults (including team members) will receive their wristbands at the gate, upon presentation of their e-tickets. 
• Kids booked into groups will be given wristbands at Kids’ Registration. 
• Youth can collect their wristband from their first Luminosity session, upon presentation of their e-ticket. 
• If your child is not attending any group, their ‘no group’ wristband can be collected from Info. 
• Young Adults’ wristbands can be collected by those with Young Adult tickets from any Young Adults event upon presentation of their e-ticket. These are to be worn in addition to the Adult wristband. 

Youth Leader Wristband
If you are a youth leader bringing a group of young people and wish to access the Luminosity venues to support your youth, please contact us at info@new-wine.org to find out more about the requirements and process for youth leader access. This must be authorised before the event. 

Kids’ Registration (1-11s)

For every child attending, a Kids’ Registration Form must be completed before arriving. The link to the form can be found in your booking confirmation email. Parents/guardians will also need to attend the Kids’ Venues between 14:00-16:00 on Tuesday 28 July to Check-In and receive their child’s wristband and small group allocation.

Late Check-In is 18:00 – 19:00 on Tuesday 28 (Pre-school) or at the start of their first session (Reception – Year 6).  

Any child not registered online will need to complete their Kids’ Registration Form before attending the Kids Check-In.

During Check-In, you will need to provide names for up to 3 people who will be authorised to collect your child from their group. Any authorised people will need to show their wristband and a form of ID (driving license, bank card, etc.) to collect their child, along with the child’s ‘Collection Card’. 

Luminosity Registration (Year 7 – 13)

Luminosity attendees can register themselves at the first session they attend, showing a copy of their e-ticket to receive their wristband.

Departures

All delegates must leave the site by 11:00 on Monday 3 August. Delegates can drive back onto site to pack-up from 07:00. All temporary showers and toilet units will close at 10:00 on Monday 3 August.  

If you plan to leave the site on Sunday 2 August, you will need to book an Early Departure using the link below.

No vehicles can move around site between 08:45 – 10:30 and 18:00 – 19:00 on Sunday 2 August. 

This is to ensure that delegates can leave site safely during the event alongside the increased pedestrian traffic. Timeslots are subject to availability and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sunday Departure Instructions

• Cars & Motorbikes collecting tents are permitted to move onto site during your timeslot. Your car must be off site or returned to your car park within 2 hours of entry. No driving onsite allowed after 18:00.
• Campervans must be driven to Car Park 1 or 2 during a timeslot before 18:00 if leaving on 2 August, even if you’re leaving after the evening celebration. No driving onsite allowed after 18:00.
• Caravans & Trailer Tents: Cars to tow caravans/trailer tents must book a timeslot to drive onto the villages before 18:00. Your car must be parked in a safe location next to your caravan/ trailer tent. Caravans/trailer tents must then only be towed when you intend to leave the event and should exit directly. No driving onsite allowed between 18:00 – 19:00. If you’re leaving after 19:00, you will need an adult member of your group to walk in front of your vehicle with a torch facing outwards until you reach the exit gates. 

This list is not exhaustive but a good starting point if you’re new to New Wine or just an irregular camper!

Villages

Your camping village is the area where you have been allocated to camp. You will have already received details about your designated village in your Village Allocation email. Upon arrival, please follow the signs and Stewards’ directions to find your village (colour and number). 

When you reach your village, speak to your Village Host – they will have allocated you a camping space, so please only camp where asked to. If you have let us know about any additional camping requirements, speak to your Village Host when you arrive to confirm these. If you need to contact your Village Host prior to your arrival, you can do so through the New Wine office by emailing info@new-wine.org. 

You must only camp in the area allocated to you. Do not move to another village, as we may need to locate you in an emergency. Please keep any children away from the excluded areas marked on the map. 

Gazebos: If you’d like to set up a small or medium gazebo, please wait until all the campers in your village have arrived and check in with your Village Host before setting up. Gazebos will only be added at the Village Host’s discretion and subject to space. 

Electric Hook-Ups

If you have pre-booked an electric hookup onsite, you must bring at least one 16A camping cable of minimum 25 meters (we highly recommend 30m). For those in tents, you will also need an appropriate connection box to keep the supply off the ground, and with RCD protection. Please do get in touch with any questions regarding these items. 

• Your village host will show you where your labelled connection is. These will be tagged with the name of your booking manager.
• If you have not booked a hook-up or confirmed a hook-up with our team in advance (including for medical reasons), then you will not be able to connect to the supply on-site.

Hired Tents & Caravans

If you are hiring a tent or caravan from a private company, to ensure that your accommodation is set up in the correct location, you will need to provide them with the following information: 

• Details of your camping village (which can be found in your Village Allocation email). 
• Please ask your hirer to contact us at info@new-wine.org to arrange drop-off, pick-up, and to obtain the contact details of the village host for when they deliver your accommodation. 

Please ensure that your hire is until after end of the event, as hire companies won’t be allowed access to site until 07:00 on 3rd August 2026.

Village Halls

Each camping zone colour will also have a ‘Village Hall’ – a sheltered communal space hosted by a Village Hall Host. The village hall contains picnic benches, hot water at the times below (don’t forget your flask or mug!), a ‘medical/mobility priority’ electric charging point, and free phone charging towers. Your Village Hall also plays host to various activities and opportunities to meet others throughout the week.

Hot Water Available: 07:00 – 09:00 & 16:00 – 18:00
Ice-Pack Exchange: 15:30 – 16:30

All charging is free, but items are left at your own risk, so we ask that you remain with your devices and switch them off whilst they recharge.

The programme starts at 19:00 on Tuesday 28 July in the Big Top, Impact & Awaken. Other venues are detailed below:

• Gems and Pebbles (0-4s): Wednesday 29, 09:30 (doors open 09:15).
• Groundbreakers (Reception – Year 2s): Family Celebration, Tuesday 28, 18:30 & 19:30. Please only attend one session. Parents/carers need to accompany their children.
• Rock Solid and Boulder Gang (Year 3 – 6s): Tuesday 28, 19:00 (doors open 18:45).
• Stepping Stones (0-4s Drop-in Session): Tuesday 28, 18:45 – 21:00 
• Luminosity Celebration: Tuesday 28, 19:00 (doors open 18:45) 

Accessible Church

• Our Place (Kids & Youth): Tuesday 28, 19:00.
• Access (18+): Tuesday 28, 19:00.
• Breathe (Parents and Carers): Wednesday 29, 10:30.

Young Adults (Age 18-29)

Celebrations

Celebrations are times each day for worship, prayer, teaching, and ministry, from 10:30 – 12:00 and 19:00 – 21:00 in Big Top, Impact & Awaken – each with its own unique flavour. We’re joined by speakers from within the New Wine family and beyond to go deeper in faith and encounter God afresh through times of prayer. Check out the programme to see what’s happening where. 

Breakouts

Breakouts are sessions that invite us to grow together through worship, teaching, prayer, and conversation. They’re a key part of the New Wine week – designed to help us hear what God is saying to us as a family of churches. You’ll find a mix of formats – from larger gatherings to smaller, more interactive sessions, hosted by members of the New Wine network, with some guest speakers joining as well. 

Fun Zone

If you are seeking a fun-filled experience, head to the Fun Zone!

• In the Showring, enjoy rides, the Sports Zone, the iconic ferris wheel, crafts and competitions, sweet treats – plus exhibitors showcasing Christian gifts, products, and organisations and the Canopy Café.
• Head to the Food Zone for delicious eats – great times guaranteed!
• The Miniature Railway is back! Jump on from 1300 -1700 on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday for a free scenic ride from the station on the map.
• The Bandstand (a Shepton icon!) hosts acoustic music and performances each afternoon. From 14:00-14:30 Thursday – Sunday, it’s your turn – bring a song, a dance or a poem to the Open Mic session! 

All rides and attractions are FREE, so enjoy some quality time with family and friends! Feel free to bring money along if you wish to purchase food or drink from the cafés or gifts from the exhibitor huts.

New Wine Radio

Tune in to New Wine Radio (87.7) for Morning and Evening Celebrations (from the Big Top), worship, breakouts and more throughout the week. See the Programme and the App for details.  

Prayer Ministry

As a family of churches, we want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to be prayed for during the ministry times at our main meetings. If you would like to pray for others, you must complete our New Wine prayer ministry training.  

Training can be completed online or at the in-person ‘Prayer Ministry Training’ session. 

• In Person Training & Wristband Collection: Big Top, Tuesday 28, 15:30–16:30.
• Online Training & Wristband Collection: Complete the Training HERE & collect your wristband from the Big Top, Tuesday 28, 16:30–17:30.

Missed the collection? Collect your wristband from Info after completing the online training. Don’t forget to bring a copy of your Prayer Ministry ID card from your training (digital or printed) and a form of photo ID.

Emergencies 

In an emergency at the festival, you must call 02045 832 929 – the New Wine Emergency Number, which is printed on your wristband. Do not call 999.

Our Control Team operate the running and safety of the site 24/7, and act as our onsite emergency call receivers. The team can get help to you much quicker than a normal 999 call could.

Info & Control

Info and Control are two teams here to help you throughout the week; both are marked on the site map. Here is a breakdown of who is best to see about what: 

Info is open daily in the Bookshop Café from 09:00 – 18:00 for any delegate, team and programme queries (08:00 – 20:00 on 28 July). Please come to Info for any questions about: 

• Tickets, programme & venues 
• Accessible Parking, Camping & Electricity
• Wristbands & Access (including Carer wristbands)
• Accessibility (including earplugs, BSL or large maps & programmes) 
• ‘No Media’ lanyards
• 2027 bookings 

Control is open 24hrs for: 

• Site Maintenance & Damages (if you’re unable to report online)
• Lost Property 
• Out of Hours (when Info is closed)

Medical Centre 

The Medical Centre is open for medical help and advice throughout the event. Our Medical team comprises of paramedic & ambulance provision, as well as doctors, nurses, and first aiders. You can drop into the Medical Centre during the day 08:00-22:00, or request emergency assistance by calling the emergency number at any time whilst onsite.

If your condition is on the following list, we’d also ask that you come to the Medical Centre on the day you arrive to discuss any extra considerations:

• Long-term or portable oxygen users
• Unstable or complex conditions
• Those with patient care plans

First Aiders are also available in adult, children and youth venues during programme times, and you can find them by looking for the white cross on green background icon.

Medical Supplies: Please bring basic medical supplies such as antiseptic cream, paracetamol, plasters, and any regular medication with you. Basic supplies are also available from the onsite shop. 

Cash & Contactless

We are a virtually cash-free site. (Some vendors and traders may accept cash, but we recommend that where possible you bring and pay with card.) The nearest cash point is Tesco Superstore, Shepton Mallet, which is a 10-minute drive away. 

Ear Defenders & Earplugs

Earplugs are available for free at Info. Those with sensitive hearing and parents with young children may want to consider using ear defenders or earplugs for worship times in the main venues. Please bring your own ear defenders or over-ear protection as we cannot supply these. 

Cafe’s, Food & Shops

Hot drinks and snacks are available at the Bookshop Café, the Canopy Café, and Brewtiques located around site. For those who prefer not to cook, a variety of food vans are stationed in the Fun Zone, offering a range of food options throughout the day. 

Showground Shop: Our well-stocked on-site shop means there’s no need to drive anywhere! Find it in the Fun Zone, opposite the Miniature Railway. The Showground Shop stocks fresh bread, milk, pastries, meat, fruit & veg as well as other groceries & household items such as tea, coffee, spreads, cereals, pasta, rice, bin bags, toilet roll, batteries and toiletries. You can also grab sandwiches, filled rolls and other deli items, as well as a range of alcoholic and soft drinks and camping essentials and over-the-counter medicines. Items for specific diets are also available and, where possible, products are locally sourced.

Opening Hours 28^th July to 2^nd August: 07:30 – 23:00 daily (closed daily between 18:00-19:30)

Local Supermarkets: Co-Op, Tesco and Aldi are less than a 10-minute drive from the showground.

• Shopping must be carried to your village from the car park.
• Supermarket deliveries are not allowed onto the villages – they must be collected from the showground’s Main Gate (marked on the map).

If you plan to shop from a supermarket after setting up your camping equipment on 28 July, we ask that when returning you drive directly to one of the long-stay car parks rather than rejoining the arrivals queue and carry your shopping via the pedestrian entrances. This will be quicker for you and help keep the arrivals queue as short as possible. Consider arranging for friends to meet you in the car park to assist or bring a foldable trolley. 

Gas: The closest gas suppliers offsite are Right Price DIY in Downside, Shepton Mallet (BA4 4JX), B&Q Glastonbury (BA6 9XE) and Halfords Wells (BA5 2HS). Please contact the supplier for availability before travelling. Gas deliveries can’t be made by car to the villages, so we would advise bringing a trolley with you for larger containers.

• When using gas containers, follow manufacturer’s instructions; hoses should be properly secured. If you have any problems or a container leaks, please alert Control. 

Alcohol: Festival bars will be open from 21:00–23:00 in Canopy Café and Bookshop Café. Alcohol may only be consumed within these bar areas, on your village or on a bring-your-own beer or wine (spirits are prohibited) during Late Night Live in Awaken (21:00–23:00).

We operate a ‘Challenge 25’ policy for the purchase of alcohol at the shop or at the onsite bars, so please remember to bring photo ID if you appear under the age of 25.

Ice-Pack Exchange

Exchange thawed freezer packs for frozen ones between 15:30 – 16:30 every afternoon at your nearest Village Hall (from 29 July – 2 August).

Only ice packs between 400-600g can be added to the pool, and you cannot be guaranteed the same packs back at the end of the week. In hot weather, demand may outweigh supply. 

Animals

Guide/assistance animals are welcomed at the festival, but all other animals are not permitted. If you need to bring an assistance animal, please get in touch with us at info@new-wine.org to let us know and register them. We strongly advise that they have sufficient training, insurance and wear identifying harnesses.

Phone Charging

Free phone charging is available in the Village Halls, but this is subject to availability and we highly recommending bringing your own power banks to recharge from. 

• All items left in the Village Hall are at the owner’s risk. Charging priority in Village Halls is given to recharging mobility scooters and medical equipment.

Powerbanks: Portable power banks are available to rent from one of the ‘Lifesaver Power’ stations onsite. There is a rental fee of £11 & a £15 deposit fee per power bank, which is returned to your account when you return the unit within 5 days. If you wish to get a newly charged power bank, there is a £2 fee to swap a used unit for a new one. Stations are located in Impact, Bookshop Café, Canopy Café and Luminosity. Power banks have USB-C and lightning cables integrated and charge a normal phone around twice fully.

Post & Deliveries

Please do not order Postal or Amazon deliveries to site as we are not able to safely store parcels or deliver them to your village. We recommend using local Parcel-Collection points in Shepton Mallet or Castle Cary.

Showers & Toilets

Toilet and shower facilities are within reach of all villages. We’re proud to say that we exceed the number of toilets and showers expected of events of our size, but queues may still be busy at peak times. Toilet rolls are provided but bring a few extra just in case! 

In addition to the usual shower cubicles, we are excited to announce the return of the boutique shower blocks located across the site.

• These blocks encompass male and female leisure-centre style changing rooms outside the shower units, creating a more spacious environment to change before and after showering and reducing queue times. There are also ‘changing pods’ in each changing room for extra privacy.

Translation & Captioning

We’re delighted to partner with Breeze Translate to provide captioning and translation in all adult venues (Big Top, Impact & Awaken). To find out more about Breeze and their mission of enabling churches to welcome in every language, visit breezetranslate.com.

You’ll be able to access a live text subtitling of the speech from the stage in any language (including English) on your own mobile device during Celebrations (details will be on the screen before each session). 

Here’s all you need to know: 

1. Translation is available in Big Top, Awaken & Impact during celebrations.
2. Use your phone to scan the QR code or follow the instructions on the screens before each session to access the translation website. 
3. Select the language you wish to view from the options on your device.

Standard 3G/4G data plans should be sufficient to access the live captioning.

Internet Access/Wi-Fi

The site has limited 3G & 4G coverage. Your ability to connect will be affected by the number of people using it at any given time. No onsite Wi-Fi is available.

At New Wine we know that additional needs are wide-ranging, and we want to support those with additional needs and disabilities to enable everyone to join in with all that’s going on. 

Accessible Teams & Venues

We host a number of caring and skilled teams and venues across site to provide spaces for everyone to engage in all that New Wine Festival has to offer – this is our Accessible Church.

You’ll need to have requested support via an Accessibility & Additional Needs form for yourself or your child for support from the teams and venues below, otherwise we can’t prepare or guarantee a space.

There are three specialist venues that provide their own programmes:

• Our Place (for under 18s)
• Access (18+)
• Breathe (for parents and carers of those with additional needs)

Breakouts also run in Access, tailored for 18+ with additional needs. Speak to the Access team in the venue to find out more.

Across the site, our Inclusion teams work to support you or your children to feel safe and join in with what is going on within the main venues. Our Inclusion teams work within Kids, Luminosity, Big Top, Impact and Awaken. Please speak to the teams in venue for support onsite.

Accessibility in Main Venues

• Reserved Seating: Venue Welcome Teams in Big Top, Impact & Awaken are available to discuss accessibility seating requirements on Tuesday 28, 15:00-16:30. Please speak to any team member in the venue after this time for further support. 
• BSL interpretation is provided for Celebrations in Big Top and Impact. To request interpretation in other venues, please either speak to the interpreters, or request a session at Info. 
• English Captioning is available on small screens in Big Top, Impact & Awaken or on your own mobile device during Celebrations via Breeze Translate (details will be on the screen before Celebrations). 
• Designated hearing loop areas are available in Big Top, Impact and Access. 
• Lighting: Moving & flashing lights may be used in Big Top, Impact, Awaken and Luminosity. Strobe lighting will not be used in any venues.

Accessibility Around Site 

Please speak to your Village Host when you arrive, so they can support you with any additional requirements in your village. 

• Braille, large print programmes and large maps are available to view at Info. Maps and programmes are also available on the New Wine app. 
• Queue Jump Passes: For Queue Jump passes, please speak to the Access, Our Place or Info teams. Limited Attraction Fast-Track passes are also available.
• Disabled toilets and showers are marked on the map. There is also an AccessoLoo facility by Purple 2 with a toilet, shower and hoist. 
• Mobility Aids & Scooters: Please bring any mobility aids that you may need with you to site. We cannot hire mobility scooters but do have charging facilities in all of the village halls which you can locate on the map.

Accessible Car Parking 

There is Accessible Parking for those with pre-authorised parking permits. Please contact the team at info@new-wine.org if you need an accessible parking permit and one will be approved from the list below.

Your permit will be emailed to you. Please print your parking permit before arriving and display it clearly on your vehicle dashboard. If you have a pre-authorised parking permit but cannot print at home, please go to ‘Info’ upon arrival to collect it; the permit must then be displayed on your vehicle dashboard. 

• Please note, there is NO authorisation for vehicle movement around the site after Delegate Arrival Day (28 July) with any permit. All permits only allow parking in one of the accessible car parks.  
• There will be access to leave the site and return during the event from the accessible car parks, but vehicles cannot be driven or parked in any other part of the site unless specified (e.g. outside venues).

Accessibility Bus 

An Accessibility Buggy Bus service runs from the Village Halls to the Big Top, the Central Bus Stop (by New Wine Radio) and back. The Accessibility Bus will also run from the Priority Day Parking to the Big Top and back.

Buggies will run on a rotation from 08:30 – 22:30.

There’s no ‘bus pass’, but we encourage everyone to be generous and ensure that those who require the bus can make use of it. Don’t forget to thank the driver!

Important Info 

If this is your first time attending New Wine, here are some things it might be helpful for you to know:  

• New Wine is mostly camping, although some do choose to stay off-site. This means that the weather can affect mobility getting around site.  
• Everything is not as close as it may be at home, which means more walking than normal. Please bring any mobility aids with you to enable to you to get around site. We don’t have the facility to hire mobility scooters, but we do have space to charge them onsite.
• Remember that your time at New Wine will be different than at home. New Wine is noisy and busy, please consider how this may impact your physical and mental health whilst you are at New Wine and reach out to those around you if you need support.
• It is important to know that the New Wine Festival takes place at an agricultural showground, so total accessibility throughout the site cannot be guaranteed.

We’d love every delegate to play a part in our sustainability efforts. Small actions really do make a big difference:

• Bring a reusable cup – Cut down on waste and enjoy a 20p discount at our coffee shops when you use your own cup. Whether it’s for your morning flat white to head to Rise or a cosy hot chocolate in the evening, it’s a simple way to care for creation.
• Bring a reusable water bottle – Stay hydrated and help cut down plastic waste by refilling at our dedicated water stations across the site.
• Share your journey – Save money and reduce emissions by car sharing with your local church members and friends.
• Donate unused food – Before you leave, you can drop off any unopened, leftover food at our collection points around – see below!
• Leave the site as you found it– take your rubbish to the onsite bins to dispose of any waste and make sure to take all your belongings with you.

Food Bank Donation Point 

in partnership with Trussell & other foodbanks

We’re excited to partner with Trussell and other local foodbanks to create Food Bank donation points, where you can donate any leftover tins, pot noodles, and unopened, long-life goodies that are unused after your week of camping! BBQs & Cooking

BBQs are allowed in the villages, but only outside any tents (this applies to gazebos and teepees as well). Open fires, fire pits, chimeneas and Chinese lanterns are not permitted. 

Disposable BBQs are not permitted anywhere on site. All BBQs must be raised off the ground on a suitable stand and positioned securely. BBQs must only be used outside tents, gazebos and teepees. Keep cooking areas clear of dry grass, rubbish, cardboard, and other combustible materials.

Cooking accidents are one of the most common cause of injury at festivals! Please take care when cooking onsite. Please download and use the Open Flame Checklist to ensure your campsite is as safe as possible when cooking:

Remember to NEVER: 

• Take a BBQ into a tent, caravan or motorhome, even after use. Carbon monoxide has no smell or taste and can kill quickly and without warning.
• Place a lit BBQ near the sleeping area outside your tent.
• Use a fuel-burning appliance to heat your tent or awning.
• Cook with a stove inside your tent or awning, unless there’s an area specifically designed for this purpose. 

Bikes, Scooters & Other Wheels

Cycling, scooting, skating, and skateboarding are allowed only between 07:00 on Wednesday 29 July (Day 2) and 07:00 on Sunday 2 August (Day 6). Electric scooters and e-bikes are not permitted anywhere on site. 

• Accessibility Devices: Mobility scooters, wheelchairs, and tricycles are welcome across the site. Please take extra care when moving through crowded areas.
• Pedestrian Priority: In all ‘pedestrian only’ zones, riding is not allowed. Please dismount and walk your equipment through these areas. Pedestrians always have the right of way. Ride slowly and give space.
• After Dark: Scooting, skating, and skateboarding are not allowed after dark. Cyclists must use front and rear lights when riding after sunset. 
• Parking: Please park bikes and scooters considerately. Please don’t lean them against doors, windows, or any structure that could be damaged. 
• Supervision & Responsibility: Parents and carers are responsible for ensuring children understand and follow these safety rules. 

Campsite Safety

The site is an agricultural showground and although we do all we can to cater for your camping needs, we cannot provide all the facilities of a regular campsite. Some top tips are below:

• The villages are not lit at night, so please bring a torch. 
• When not in groups, under 18s are the responsibility of their parents/responsible guardian and must abide by site rules. 
• Alcohol may only be consumed within designated bars (Canopy Café & Bookshop Café, 21:00–23:00), on your village or on a bring-your-own beer or wine basis (spirits are prohibited) during Late Night Live in Awaken (21:00–23:00). Illegal substances and weapons are not permitted on site.
• Ensure batteries are fully charged, as there are limited charging facilities. We recommend bringing battery charging packs with you or renting a Lifesaver Powerbank onsite.
• Only use non-formaldehyde chemicals for chemical toilets and use only the Elsan points marked on the map for disposal. Infections such as Norovirus or food poisoning can spread rapidly. Remember that animals may have been on site previously, so please follow appropriate infection control and food safety guidance. 
• When using gas containers, follow manufacturer’s instructions; hoses should be properly secured. If you have any problems or a container leaks, go to or alert Control. To change a gas container, ensure you are in the open (never inside a tent or caravan) and away from any naked flame such as a lit cooker. 
• The use of generators and engines is not permitted, including those in motorhomes or campervans.

Drones/Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

The use of unauthorised drones and other UAVs is not permitted anywhere on site. 

Photography & Filming

Photography and filming is undertaken around site by New Wine Media team. If you would prefer not to be captured, please collect a yellow ‘No Media’ lanyard from Info to wear around site or a yellow wristband from Kids or Luminosity for under 18s.

We’d love you to capture and share your Festival experience on social media. Don’t forget to tag @newwineengland so we can see your posts. When posting, please respect the privacy of others by avoiding images or footage that include anyone wearing a yellow ‘No Media’ lanyard or wristband.

Security 

Please ensure that you always wear your wristband, ensure children’s wristbands are securely in place, lock cars, caravans and secure tents, and immediately report anything suspicious or ‘out of the ordinary’ to a Steward or team member.

We advise not leaving valuables in tents or unattended, as we can’t take responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged property.

Please be accommodating of any bag or vehicle searches and we reserve the right to enforce gate closures at any point during the event for the protection of children and vulnerable adults. During a gate closure, no vehicles will be able to leave site without a vehicle contents check. 

Safeguarding 

New Wine is committed to safeguarding as an integral part of our ministry and mission, and we set high standards to keep everyone safe. Safeguarding Officers are present throughout the duration of the event.

Please report any and all safeguarding concerns you have. This includes anything you see, hear, are told or become aware of that causes you to feel concerned about the safety or wellbeing of a person.

The Safeguarding team will respond to all referrals appropriately and make sure people are safe and their needs are met at the New Wine event, and link with other agencies to support when the event is over. The Safeguarding Team onsite are recruited from a wide range of professional backgrounds, and all have undergone our safer recruitment process. Anyone serving in Children’s or Luminosity venues has demonstrated relevant experience in working with children or young people, and all have current DBS clearance and satisfactory references.  All volunteers and leaders receive safeguarding training prior to their arrival onsite, regardless of any training they may have undertaken elsewhere. 

What other ways do we prioritise safeguarding onsite?

• Anyone serving in venues with children or vulnerable adults has demonstrated relevant experience in these contexts and has current DBS clearance and satisfactory references.
• All volunteers and leaders receive safeguarding training prior to their arrival onsite, regardless of any training they may have undertaken elsewhere.
• Where we are aware that a person may pose a risk to others, we will assess this risk and will refuse admission if it is considered too great. Some individuals already have safeguarding arrangements or agreements in place with their churches – if you have a safeguarding agreement or management plan in place with your local church, this must be disclosed to us before you book. You can do this by emailing safeguarding@new-wine.org or calling 07956 965991.

Our team take all referrals seriously, and we encourage the reporting of concerns of any level. By working together, we can ensure that the festival remains a safe environment for all.
