The role ensures that young people are welcomed, discipled and supported as they grow in faith and connection to the church community. The Youth Pastor will be responsible for developing a
culture of belonging, spiritual growth and mission among the youth, equipping young people and volunteers for effective ministry.
A core part of this vision is our ministry and mission with young people. Having held high value on children and young people’s work for decades, we are currently placed 13th nationally in the Church of England’s figures for weekly attendance of 0s-18s. We sense God is doing new thing here as part of a vision to see all ages come to vibrant faith and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.

St Thomas’ Church is situated in the centre of Lancaster, a historic city in the northwest of England. St Thomas’ Church is at an exciting stage of life; we estimate around 400 adults and 150 under-18s are coming regularly to our weekly gatherings, with 40-50 students also attending, particularly at the 7pm service.
