PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Assistant Children’s Pastor plays an important role in helping the Aldates Kids ministry flourish. Working alongside the Children’s Pastor, this role helps nurture and disciple children aged 0 –11 so that they can grow in their faith, encounter Jesus and become confident followers of him.

Our children’s ministry is already well established and vibrant. We are now looking for someone who can build on these foundations - someone who loves working with children, enjoys equipping volunteers, and brings creativity and vision to how we teach the Bible and help children encounter God.

You will work closely with the Children’s Pastor, the wider staff team, and a large community of volunteer leaders to create environments where children feel welcomed, valued, and excited to grow in their faith.

A key part of the role will be supporting and developing volunteer teams, helping them feel confident, equipped and encouraged as they serve.
