Role: Children and Families Worker

Reports to: Rector

Location: St Giles Church, West Bridgford, Nottingham

Basis of employment: Full time – 35 hours per week (although part time considered for the right person)

There is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be a communicant member of the Church of England or a member of the Churches Together in Britain & Ireland.

Who are we looking for?

• Do you have a calling to work with children and their families to help them discover the love of God and grow as disciples?
• Do you have a passion for communicating with all ages and helping to bring the Bible alive to children?
• Are you good at gathering teams and inspiring volunteers in their work with children?

We are looking for someone who has a passionate and vibrant personal Christian faith that inspires children in their walk with God. This person will be a natural communicator, able to share the good news of Jesus in a way that is accessible to children whilst also confident to talk engagingly with parents and carers about the Christian faith.

We are a growing church with a vision to reach every generation with the love of God and resource them to grow as disciples of Christ. There are currently 45 children who we see at least once a month at St Giles. The average attendance on a Sunday for 2-11 year olds is 35, and about 25 under fives through the week.
