Role: Children and Families Worker
Reports to: Rector
Location: St Giles Church, West Bridgford, Nottingham
Basis of employment: Full time – 35 hours per week (although part time considered for the right person)
There is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be a communicant member of the Church of England or a member of the Churches Together in Britain & Ireland.
Who are we looking for?
- Do you have a calling to work with children and their families to help them discover the love of God and grow as disciples?
- Do you have a passion for communicating with all ages and helping to bring the Bible alive to children?
- Are you good at gathering teams and inspiring volunteers in their work with children?
We are looking for someone who has a passionate and vibrant personal Christian faith that inspires children in their walk with God. This person will be a natural communicator, able to share the good news of Jesus in a way that is accessible to children whilst also confident to talk engagingly with parents and carers about the Christian faith.
If this is you we’d love you to come and join the team! We are a growing church with a vision to reach every generation with the love of God and resource them to grow as disciples of Christ. There are currently 45 children who we see at least once a month at St Giles. The average attendance on a Sunday for 2-11 year olds is 35, and about 25 under fives through the week.
Do get in touch to find out more and discover if this might be the role for you. For an informal conversation, please contact Rev Joanna Seabourne, joanna.seabourne@stgilesparish.com
