OVERVIEW
Do you have a heart for outreach, worship, and discipleship amongst younger adults, who have little or no prior connection to church?
Could you collaborate in establishing a new contemporary congregation and nurturing our existing traditional congregations?
We are looking for someone with a prayerful, pastoral outlook who is full of faith and the Holy Spirit, to be part of the new Mission Hub Team, based in St Mary’s and St Marcella’s churches, Denbigh, North Wales.
This post is full-time stipendiary for 5 years, with housing provided.
HUB LEADERS INTRODUCTION
As Hub leader I am passionate about seeing the gospel shared with people outside of the church, forming a spirit-filled community of believers and helping people grow in practical every-day faith.
I am looking forward to us working together as a Hub team. I believe in empowering and equipping those I work with, to see each member fulfilled in using their unique gifts and bringing their strengths to our shared ministry.
There is an opportunity in front of us with younger adults searching for answers and hungry for spiritual things. Do you feel called to come and play a part in reaching out, sharing faith and building a new congregation for them?
THE ASSOCIATE VICAR/PRIEST / CURATE
The Associate will be a key member of the Mission Hub team in helping to shape and grow mission, worship, and discipleship among people in their 20s and 30s—many of whom may have little or no prior connection to church—while also supporting, nurturing, and strengthening our existing congregations.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate in establishing a new contemporary congregation, as well as to take the lead in particular areas of the Hub’s ministry. The focus of these responsibilities will reflect the strengths and gifts that each team member brings.
This post would be ideal for a priest who is excited by the prospect of serving within a ministry team rather than working in the more isolated role of Priest‑in‑Charge, and who values the creativity, companionship, and shared discernment that collaborative ministry makes possible

The community is made up of many long‑established Welsh families, alongside a diverse range of people who have moved into the area for work or retirement. There is also a small area of notably high deprivation.
As a natural hub town for the local area, Denbigh has a good range of amenities, including three supermarkets (Morrisons, Lidl, and Aldi), a variety of smaller local shops and larger chain stores, Denbigh High School and Leisure Centre, Denbigh Football Club, and Denbigh Rugby Club.
Denbigh Mission Hub, Denbigh
The new Denbigh Mission Hub, launching in 2026 and funded by the Church in Wales Growth Fund, comprises St Mary’s and St Marcella’s Churches in Denbigh. It will exist to be a spiritual home for all generations, with a particular calling to reach and disciple people in their 20s and 30s.
The Hub aims to develop as a centre for contemporary worship, creative outreach, and authentic discipleship, while continuing to nurture and grow our established Anglican congregations. It will also support fresh approaches to evangelism and discipleship across the Denbigh Mission Area.
