St Peter's Brockley
OUR STORY
St Peter’s has been a central part of the Brockley community for 150 years. In the last few years we’ve seen a transformation as the church welcomed a group of young families fromSt Mary’s Maryleboneand a group of 20s and 30s fromKings Cross Church (KXC)to come together as one family.
Building on all God has done before, our Sunday congregations have grown, including many people new to faith and returning to faith, and we’ve started a weekly Sunday evening service which gives more time to worship and wait on the Spirit. It’s been exciting to see the kids' work thrive, youth and student groups develop and a creative community established. We have also been privileged to serve the local community through a number of ‘Love Brockley’ initiatives including a social supermarket, job club, dance school, friendship cafe, groups supporting young families, babies and toddlers and a partnership with Growing Hope providing free professional therapy for families with children with additional needs.
As we’ve grown, so has the vision we believe God has given us. Working in partnership with the diocese we are keen to play our part with many others in the area in bringing God’s kingdom across south east London.
Something exciting is emerging and we’d love you to come and join the fun!
