CPAS is one of the key organisations shaping the future of the UK church. Our residential holidays influence the lives of thousands of young people each year. Our leadership training and patronage work are shaping the current generation of church leadership. CPAS’ role in the UK is unique, long-standing and influential within the Church of England and its evangelical constituency.
We are looking for a new Trustee to join the CPAS Board, who can also act as our Lead Trustee for Safeguarding.
You will be passionate about safeguarding - keen to take on a strategic overview, to champion safeguarding at Board level, and provide support and challenge to staff. Working with our Safeguarding Manager, you will help CPAS to promote a safeguarding culture across all the organisation and its work.
You will share our aspiration to see:
· Every church a pathway to faith
· Every leader a catalyst for evangelism
· Every Christian a courageous witness
· Every child a chance to explore Jesus
You will have a living faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, an ability to think creatively and strategically and to work as a member of a team in the interests of CPAS.
You don’t have to be an experienced Trustee, as we offer training and support in the role, but you will bring skills, confidence and experience in the area of safeguarding and be willing to grow in an understanding of the legal duties and responsibilities of trusteeship.
Please note that we are also looking for Trustees with legal and HR expertise, and for younger and more diverse trustees.
Are you inspired by our vision?

CPAS is an evangelical Anglican mission agency, working to support churches across the UK and Republic of Ireland. It is therefore important that the postholder has a committed personal Christian faith and is a communicant member of the Church of England or of a church in communion with the Church of England.
