Kids Pastor | Executive Support Consultant | Operations & Systems Consultant

UNLTD is growing, and we are looking for brilliant people to join us through three different opportunities. Whether your strengths are discipling children, building effective systems or bringing clarity and follow-through to a visionary leader, we would love to hear from you.

1. Kids Pastor

• Hours: 0.3 FTE, 11.25 hours per week, including Sunday mornings
• Salary: £26,000–£30,000 FTE (£7,800–£9,000 actual salary)
• Contract: One-year fixed-term employed contract

We are looking for someone to lead and develop our ministry with children and pre-teens, helping them encounter Jesus, grow in a faith of their own and feel deeply connected to the life of the church.

Most of our children are currently in Years 4–7, although the post-holder will oversee appropriate Sunday provision for children from age 0 through to younger youth. The role includes leading engaging and faith-filled Sunday ministry, developing our volunteer Kids Team, supporting families and building a clear pathway into our wider youth ministry.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and shape a brand-new ministry, bringing creativity, vision and a heart to see children and younger youth love God and become more like Jesus.

2. Executive Support Consultant

• Hours: Up to five hours per week
• Consultancy fee: £16 per hour
• Initial term: Until Easter 2027, subject to continued funding and review
• Contract: Self-employed freelance consultancy

We are looking for an organised, proactive and excellent communicator to provide personal executive support across the varied responsibilities involved in leading UNLTD Church.

The consultancy will include executive support; preparing agendas and papers, producing trustee minutes, following up actions, working out rotas, processing receipts and invoices, proofreading communications, producing documents and presentation slides, managing agreed inboxes and providing practical support for developing projects.

The consultant will bring clarity, organisation and follow-through, enabling the Leader of UNLTD Church to focus more time and energy on leadership, people, ministry and mission.

This contract is commissioned personally by Matt Clayton, Leader of UNLTD Church, on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions.

3. Operations & Systems Consultant

• Hours: Up to five hours per week
• Consultancy fee: £16 per hour
• Initial term: Until Easter 2027, subject to continued funding and review
• Contract: Self-employed freelance consultancy

We are looking for an experienced and proactive consultant to provide personal operational support, helping organise and manage the systems and back-end workings connected with the varied responsibilities of leading UNLTD Church.

The consultant will help develop effective systems, coordinate projects, process applications, improve onboarding and ensure important checks, renewals and operational actions are completed in a timely manner and with excellence.

This is a varied consultancy. One week may involve improving a safeguarding or safer-recruitment process; another could involve coordinating requirements for a new location, developing a volunteer onboarding system or supporting the operational systems behind UNLTD Coffee.

This contract is commissioned personally by Matt Clayton, Leader of UNLTD Church, on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions.
