Associate Minister for Hambledon
House for Duty: Sundays + two weekdays (or equivalent)
As Associate Minister for Hambledon, you’ll have the opportunity to develop a focal-ministry in the rural setting of Hambledon, 5 miles south of Godalming, and work with a great staff team and church community across Godalming Minster. Hambledon has a special community, and central to the role is a team spirit and an ability to foster teams, encourage people’s participation and raise new leaders.
Hambledon is one of four locations of Godalming Minster, and regular congregations span 1662 BCP, choral tradition, contemporary, classic, and charismatic so that everyone can find a spiritual home and expression. We’re open to new forms of worship. Together our average Sunday congregations total about 300 people, with many more who participate in outreach activities.
As a minster we are intentionally pursuing our vision: to go deeper in our faith; to become bolder in sharing the Gospel; and to shine brighter in our community. We summarise this with the three words ‘Deeper, Bolder, Brighter.’
