West Hamilton Community Church is looking for an Assistant Minister to support the Vicar in leading the church and take responsibility for ministry and evangelism to singles and families, young adults and children.
The Assistant Minister will be part of a team which currently includes the Vicar, Men’s Pastor, and Youth Pastor, as well as a number of committed volunteers
The Assistant will be a person of mature faith who loves Jesus, is passionate about introducing people to him, and about discipling them to maturity. Applicants should be people who are prayerful, compassionate, hard-working and humble. They should be well trained, able to preach and teach the Scriptures to both children and adults. They will need to share the charismatic evangelical theology and spirituality of the parish as well as its holistic vision of ministry. They will be ministering in a multi-cultural setting in which a particular awareness of (or openness to) Te Ao Māori is important.
